Weekend plans

On-site guests.

  • Check in from 4pm on Friday. We will already be on-site setting up and can help guide you to your rooms

  • This venue is fully self-catering so please bring anything with you that you wish to eat/drink (Wedding day you will be fine for food/drinks). We will be providing care packages for each suite that should cover breakfast/coffee/tea/snacks for the Sat/Sun Mornings - Americans, you can drink our tap water, it’s better than bottled

  • There are shops in Braemar (5mins in the car) that you can use if you need anything you have forgotten

Off-site guests.

  • You are more than welcome to be at the venue all weekend, we have the entire place booked

  • There is a bus booked for the Saturday to bring you to the wedding and then get you home after the party!

What are we doing?

We’ve put together a little agenda to keep things running smoothly (or at least give the illusion of being organised), and we just wanted to say thanks again for being here. We can’t wait to see you all, share a few drinks, eat some good food, and make some memories together in this amazing place.

Here’s what’s coming up…

Friday

  • We are having a pot-luck dinner, please feel free to join us, bring a dish if you can (there are loads of on-site cooking facilities)

  • Dinner will be served around 7:30pm

  • BYOB - there will be some drinks available

  • Relax, meet everyone, explore the place and condition the liver for the big day!

Saturday

  • If everyone can be on-site and downstairs, ready for 1:15pm latest

  • 2pm kick-off

  • Off-site guests, a bus will be picking you all up to have you there on time and then returning you home that evening. We will message you all individually with pickup time and location

Sunday

  • Ease into the day, fight back hangovers. The estate is amazing, so take the opportunity to explore it. We have some dogs you can walk :)

  • Wild Swimming - bring some kit

  • 1pm there is a property tour for those interested (it was Princess Louise’s Hunting Lodge)

  • 2:30pm onwards we will have food/BBQ and some Highland Games in the gardens. Any alcohol/drinks left from the bar will be available as well

Monday

  • Check-out - 10:30

General info

Venue is self-catering

We will do our very best to provide everything we can but if you need/want anything specific for your suites then please bring it yourselves. We are bringing our own bar for the Sat/Sun, so outside of that please bring your own.

We have the place to ourselves

Feel free to move around the property, the only guests on-site are from the wedding party. If anyone does appear that isn’t for the wedding, just grab Ryan or Sarah and we can escort them out…

The estate is beautiful, go a walk. You can get down into the water as well. Our dogs will be there so you can also take them out with you.

Parking

As you enter the driveway towards the front of the property, follow the road around to the left and continue behind the main house. You will see a huge carpark.

Smoking

No smoking inside any of the property. Designated ashtrays located outside the property for people to use.
